Sucralose

Sucralose is a sweetener that tastes very similar to sugar since it comes from it. It is 600 times sweeter than sugar and is not digested, so it provides virtually no calories. Sucralose is authorized as a sweetener by different international organizations and is called additive E-955. Its use is permitted in more than 50 countries and it is used in a multitude of foods, beverages, dietary supplements and pharmaceutical products. Its benefits are based on reducing calories from food and drinks while maintaining a pleasant sweet taste. Being so stable, it has a very good shelf life and can be cooked or baked without degrading. Products sweetened with sucralose are suitable for diabetics and do not influence blood glucose or alter insulin levels.
